Big companies do a tremendous job to ensure that their systems can not be installed where they do not want. Apple is very strict in this regard and it is virtually impossible to install Mac OS X or IOS devices other than Apple. The good thing is we if we can install on their devices other operating systems.
In the case of Mac it’s not complicated to install Linux or Windows on a Mac, Apple actually provides us with the tools to do so. The problem comes when we want to install something else on our iPhone. Officially it is not possible to install Android on an iPhone, but in practice you can now do it in very simple way.
Thanks to iPhodroid which currently supports 2G and 3G (for now none of 3GS). Until now install Android on our iPhone could be a very tedious work, including the system could carry the phone having to restore from a backup made sure we got, but thanks to iPhodroid now the process is really simple.
iPhodroid works only in Mac OS X and is a simple application with a wizard that will allow us a few simple steps to install Android on your phone. The thing to bear in mind is that the process is very green and not to think that it will be like Android on Nexus One, since many features do not work.
For now this is no more than curiosity, but a matter of time that we can finally have our iPhone with a stable version of Android and a dual boot system starts the iPhone or Android itself giving us option to choose between. Needless to say further that before making such dirty tricks our best to make your backups of your data as it is a process that operates at very low level and if anything goes wrong the process would be restored an old copy.
