Hands-on: INQ Cloud Touch Android smartphone with Facebook integration

We had a chance during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to meet up with INQ to get a close look at the Cloud Touch, an Android smartphone that has deep integration with Facebook's services.

The Cloud Touch runs Android 2.2 Froyo, but its home screen provides a custom user interface that's loaded with Facebook features. INQ's Visual Media Feed provides Facebook pictures, updates, news feeds, video, and more.

The device itself has a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution. It's powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm 7227 processor and also has a 5MP camera. The included HSPA and quad-band GSM connectivity means it will run most anywhere in the world, although INQ has yet to make its way into the U.S> market. Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and an FM radio.

Overall we were impressed by the feel and response of the device. The software appeared to work quite well, and we really, really loved the way it looked in that bright red paint scheme.

The INQ Cloud Touch is expected to make its debut in April of this year and will be sold exclusively through The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy in Europe.
